QA Engineer (software testing)

To measure product development deliverables and report on defects through testing methodologies and toolkits.
Job Responsibilities
To develop, modify and execute test plans to ensure proper coverage and disclosure of defects.
To research, develop and knowledge transfer Quality-based development best practices, methodologies and tools so that to reduce software defects in development phase.
To provide test results of functional and non-functional testing based on agreed metrics and recommend corrective actions if required.
To assist software development team in the tracing of software defects through systematic test to expedite defect removal.
To collaborate with Project Management Office to ensure timely delivery of test results.
To maintain documentation of test cases, scripts and results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Education & Experience
Degree holder in Computer Science related discipline
Minimum 2 years of software quality assurance experience
Skills,Knowledge & Abilities
Strong knowledge of web technologies and software testing tools such as xUnit tools (NUnit, HTTPUnit, etc), Cruisecontrol, fxcop, NDoc, Jmeter, etc
Strong knowledge and experience in using Continuous Integration Software Development Practices and toolset
Strong knowledge test scripts development. Good knowledge of JAVA, Javascript, C# and Visual Basic.
