System Engineer

Job Purpose

To design, implement, manage and review the regional system infrastructure based on business requirements to ensure a secured, resilient and continuous availability of IT services for the company

Job Responsibilities

Manage Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Xenserver project implementation

Manage Application Migration from one domain to another domain.

Perform system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, patch-management, accounts administration, upgrades to ensure optimal and effective hosting of IT services to the customer.

Develop standard operating procedures for server maintenance and monitoring to provide the technical support team the ability to help provide 24x7 system availability.

Plan, design and implement server capacity management to manage resources in times of crisis and predict the need for additional capacity proactively so as to support the growth of the company.

Enforcing and ensuring the company IT facility are following the predefined standards

Education & Experience

Degree or Diploma in IT,Computer Science or Engineering

MCSA/MCSE certified or 4 years of in depth experience on Wintel Technologies

Experience in design and administration of multi domain multi sites and multi forest Active Directory

Must have knowledge in Citrix Xenapps/XenServer/Xendesktop.

Knowledge in hardware installation/troubleshooting/desktop and/or server 

Knowledge in software installation/configuration/diagnostic of 2003/2008/XP/Vista (OS), Office Applications (e.g. Office, Visio, Project etc) , Open Source software, Database Server software (e.g. MSSQL, MYSQL, Oracle)

Able to diagnose network problems including but not limited to Internet Connectivity, Mail Host service, network (LAN, WAN, VPN)

Good to have knowledge in Microsoft Communication server, Open source Spark Instant Messaging

Possibly, equipped with hands-on experience and knowledge in firewall/layer-2 or layer-3 switch/router

Must be able to work in a team, work independently with limited supervision and is also able to work under pressure

Must be proactive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
