Network Engineer (Operations, bank)

Roles and Responsibilities :

Manage and support the bank-wide LAN/WAN which includes the data centre, local & overseas branches as well as business units buildings
Other responsibilities include project works, network monitoring, facilitating network service requests and providing second-level network support for helpdesk cases
Work with vendors to perform preventive maintenance for network devices
Set up and participate in annual DR exercise

Reporting to :

Requirements :

At least 2 years working experience in data networks and voice communications
Hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining Cisco routers & switches, Firewalls such as NetScreen, Cisco PIX, SideWinder & CyberGuard, network loadbalancers such as F5 & Radware WSD as well as Cisco WLAN
Knowledge in dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF & BGP, Spanning Tree, NAT, NTP, VLAN trunking, Cisco LEAP, SNMP, TACAS, IPSec & GRE tunnelling
Hands-on experience in WAN technologies such as DWDM, ATM WAN, Frame Relay, DLC, IPLC & ISDN
Good trouble-shooting and engineering skills
Able to work with a team and provide 24x7 network support
CCNA/CCNP certification is preferred
