Regional Network Engineer (3rd level engineering,global media org)
Part of the Regional Infrastructure 3rd level team, the role holder's responsibilities will undertake day to day management of regional network components (primarily switches, routers and firewalls), and provide network solution designs for the APAC region and escalated support for internal IT
Key Responsibilities

Provide Network design solutions and develop detailed technical recommendations

To evaluate, analyze and make recommendations on the Network, Firewall and Information Security components that operate within the infrastructure

Provision of 2nd level support to APAC regional IT team
-
Authoring of technical documentation and diagrams including installation and support procedures.

Delivery of briefing / training sessions to staff on newly deployed products.
-
Maintaining relationships with external vendors and internal service streams
-
Ensuring Compliance to policies, standards & best practices on Technology, Process and Security for Infrastructure.

Large MNC experience

Proven ability to design solutions and manage projects without supervision.

Service delivery and customer focused with strong analytical & problem solving Skills.

Good interpersonal skills

Accustomed to working in a variety of team structures

Effective communication skills, both oral and written

Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering Diploma with 7 years or Degree with 5 years working experience in Support and Implementation roles on Networking, Wireless and Information Security systems.

CCNP/CCDP Certification
-
ITIL awareness
-
Strong working knowledge of Network Management systems and Tools

Proven experience of implementing and trouble shooting Cisco, Check point and Nortel Products

Good knowledge of Network protocols - TCP/IP, IP sec, MPLS, BGP, Frame Relay, ATM and OSPF

Security Products - Firewalls (Checkpoint) and IDS
